Projects and work
Denna is a consultant artist and writer for urban regeneration projects throughout the UK. As part of multi-disciplinary teams and through her affiliation with DLA Architecture Masterplanning (Wakefield), she specialises in social design solutions using creativity as a fulcrum for change. Equality of access to housing is a key area of concern. Her “homesteading” housing initiative was inaugurated in Devonport, Plymouth in 2008, where she was resident in James Wyatt’s 1795 “Admiralty House”.
The first “creative” to join industry professionals twice as a Judge for Zurich International Buildings Guarantee Division “Customer First” new homes awards, Denna was Designer-in-Residence on the B.A. Architecture course, Central Saint Martin’s College of Art & Design, London (2004-2007). A speaker, lecturer and advocate, Denna writes on architecture, design and innovation for international media, and is the Editor of two forthcoming books on architecture.
